So Close

Then just as we were close to arrival in New York, we were placed in a holding pattern and our pilot got to practice figure 8's over Manhattan. As we circled Manhattan and we passed the Empire State building several times (with me humming Alicia Key's Empires State of Mind not an affiliate link) I saw so many fellow travelers frustrated. We were so close. We had come so far. And yet we were not where we had planned to be. It is frustrating to be far away from a destination or goal.
