Here Is What Our Raving Fans Have To Say…

Just recently I completed the assessment kit I received from “My Wired Style”, with my six year old daughter, Savanna. I’m familiar with the DISC personality profiling as I’ve worked with it on and off over the past 15 years. I was extremely interested to see it transposed and applied in the context of a child, specifically my daughter.

I’m very aware that the results are that of a still-evolving personality, as Savanna is only 6. However, I was surprised at her wiring. Knowing both her and the Disc material, I see strong signs of a D personality. Her responses to the questions were thoughtful and considered. She came out as a high C, with secondary S and D aspects.

I loved the recommendation to return to the assessment regularly, as the emerging personality forms. The DISC (wiring) cards provided an immediate reference for detailing some of my parental responses to a C personality. Being a D myself, I have to constantly remind myself to restrain some of my driving behavior as it affects her adversely. I’ve also consciously followed up on affirming the C child and have seen immediate results with it.

The interaction of the parent-child styles and needs is really what impacted me as I processed the workbook. I found listening to the webinar very soothing – it provides a double impact in terms of reading and hearing the material at the same time.

The way I see it, purchasing the package (live webinar and materials) is an investment that parents will reap from for years. As soon as parents can access some of this wisdom and begin to implement in their homes and nurturing styles they’ll begin to see immediate results. Change for the better, and personal growth all round, is virtually guaranteed.

As a pastor I can see great value in “My Wired Style” being made available as a resource tool to assist families in the community. I’d think that having the opportunity to purchase the full media package with additional sets of the children’s profile, say in packs of ten, would facilitate an immediate impact in resourcing our church community. I would anticipate a double impact in this respect. Not only would family life be enhanced, but the staff working with the children would gain specific understanding of each child’s wiring and how to work with them.

Thank you for making this available! I think it’s the beginning of a very fruitful journey for all of us.

I did the test for both girls, gone over the information, and watched the video! It is GREAT! Better than DISC assessments I have seen and used before, because it gives more information about the characteristics of the four groups and the first I have ever seen for Children! The most important lesson learned is how differently I communicate (act, and react ) with my two girls. My oldest daughter (12) is a very high D, and my youngest daughter (10) is an S. I have learned to be patient with my youngest compliment her often when she has done a good job, and to discuss with her the issues she is facing, and/or bad choices she has made. I am more direct with my oldest in addressing problems, but allowing her to play a bigger role in decision making.(Even if those choices are very limited). I am noticing a difference in each of their attitudes toward me, and a more optimistic approach to issues and challenges. Most of all I can see a real sense of peace, and being comfortable with who God created them to be....
Thanks!

Dear My Wired Style,

I have 2 children that are 4 and 7 years old. Both of them vibrant and full of life, they both had always loved getting up each morning and going to school. Within the last month my older child has had some difficulty with his studies at school.

My once happy child who loved school was coming off the bus with a frown and tears not wanting to do homework. Waking up in the morning with the mantra " I think I am sick, maybe I should stay home with you today" or even the daily phone call from the nurse at school. After many phone conversations with the teacher, we've hired a tutor and are trying to give the support he needs for learning.

From the perspective of a parent you heart breaks for them when you see them hurting and frustrated. My natural reaction is to love him, try to figure out the problem and move on. But when he doesn't respond the way I expect him to, I get frustrated and ultimately yell, which makes him shut down and contributes to his being upset. It had been a vicious cycle.

After receiving my assessment kit and webinar and going through the materials I realized how each of my children are wired and I started implementing the strategies with my children.

The results were amazing! I found out that my son is "wired" different than I was. Frustration and tears turned to smiles and laughter and I feel like I am connecting with my boy again. Things in school are getting better but most importantly, my relationship with my son has changed. Putting "My Wired Style" into action with my family has created a new way to communicate that leads to a happier family!

Thank you for helping me to "speak my child's language"! Sincerely,

-Kris D (NY)

As a family, we are working through the ‘My Wired Style’ program! ….The whole packet is really professional, organized, well-explained. Super-thorough especially for parents who are not familiar with personality wiring!

The ‘quick’ note cards are great – really helpful, for the kids to read & for conversation regarding their relationships & communication with each other.

The pages of explanation of each ‘wired style’ are also super, in the same way, but with even more in-depth info! I was especially impressed with how your material played up the strengths of each personality style, but still clearly stated the potential problems, weaknesses, or struggles.

….The part I like best is the suggestions on how to communicate & connect with each different personality wiring. I tend to think, “oh, I know this kinda stuff,” but have been pleased to find quite a few perceptions & ideas I’d never really grasped with my kids!

Overall – wow! What great tool, to better understand my kids, and for them to better understand each other.
The insights we’ve gained will be discussed for quite a while, as we now better grasp certain conflicts that come up between the kids, or discipline issues we struggle with. I think this is particularly helpful for me as a home schooling mom, to evaluate what will or won’t work effectively for each individual child.

I’m really excited to see this program grow & spread!! It is such a valuable tool, for parenting, for education, and for helping kids grow confidently in the way they were created, while learning to admit & work on their weak areas. I could see this being administered in private schools, or through gifted & talented programs...or even summer camp events, where parents are looking for deeper educational success opportunities for their kids. Oh wow – this would be an excellent tool for home schoolers…

What an incredible thing you’ve got going here. This is just such a great program – I really want to see it succeed & expand, kids & parents need this!

As an architect, I have practiced this dual thinking for years and would like to encourage parents and children in ways to play and learn more holistic ways of encountering and changing the environment in which we live.

My daughter, who is the oldest, is much more competitive and has a strong need to be RIGHT. She is much more fearless than me. She will climb to the precipice of a mountain and look down with the satisfaction of knowing that the mountain goats can not keep up with her. She completes tasks quickly unhindered by accuracy. I both admire this quality and am vexed by it.

My son, on the other hand, is very detail oriented. He will become completely engrossed in a task, and is hard to budge from it. He wants his projects to be perfect, or he will tear them up or mark through them in frustration. Details are minutely important to him.

I have found it to be a valuable tool in discovering my children’s innate abilities and talents, and learn how I can encourage them to reach their highest potential. Not being drones in an assembly line requires that we start to flesh out what exactly our strengths are, and how we are wired to use them. Treating each child as a unique being that responds to the world in their own unique way, propels us forward in the quest to build the future we want for ourselves and our children.

Thank you again Deb for sharing your program with me. It provides a clearer lens through which to see and encourage my children.

Sincerely,

Julia Ashley

… The “My Wired Style” workshops provide parents with tools they can use to help reduce conflict and bring out the best in their child. When parents better understand and identify how their children are ‘wired’ it provides them with a way to nurture their child’s strengths and motivate more positive behavior.

I highly recommend and endorse Deb Ingino without any reservations.
